How often do you really look at your old photos? Like most of us you've probably got them stuck somewhere in a box at the back of a cupboard, forgotten for years on end (I can hear the violins now!).
"Is there a way they can be loved again?" I hear you ask, well of course! Simply scan them into your computer and you open up a variety of ways for them to be seen again.
It can be a big task if you have a lot of photos, but it's definitely worth it. The whole experience can be made a lot less painful if you use something like Google Picasa to do the scanning and organising as well as providing you with some great tools such as restoring faded pictures and removing the dreaded red eye.
After you have all your photos on your computer you can then share them with your family and friends by emailing them or using a photo sharing service such as Yahoo! Photos or Google Picasa.
For a great (and very cheap) gift you can copy relevant photos onto a CD for someone, especially good if you've spent time restoring older ones. For a slightly larger budget, get your digital photos developed onto large prints or even canvas!
And remember once you have them in digital form you can copy them to CD and be sure that they will never fade or lose quality like traditional prints do (well as long as you don't lose or break the CD!)
